Eager shoppers waiting to enter the newly opened Shoprite Victoria Mall

A new Shoprite store opened its doors in Entebbe’s Victoria Mall to much fanfare and celebration.

The opening of Shoprite Victoria Mall creates 71 new jobs. It also brings the total number of Ugandans employed by the retailer to 423, of which close to 54% are women.

“We are very excited to open a store in the heart of Entebbe - home to Uganda’s only international airport and a major attraction for tourists.”

The opening of the 2800 square meter store also coincides with a donation of groceries and fresh produce  to the Entebbe Children’s Welfare for Special Needs.

Shoprite Victoria Mall opened its doors in Entebbe’s Victoria Mall to much fanfare and celebration.

There are three Shoprite stores in Kampala, at Clock Tower, Lugogo and Acacia Malls.
