The Building Better Lives Foundation is a non-profit organisation that aims to improve the lives of marginalised individuals and families in the Cape Flats area, Western Cape, through various programmes, such as feeding schemes, youth and adult development, and senior citizen support.
In support of their work, the organisation recently received an R12 000 gift card from the Shoprite Community Network.
“The gift card allowed us to purchase what we previously weren't able to. Something as simple as cups for our gender-based violence programme. We previously had to hire crockery but through your generous support we now have our own.”

“Our afterschool programme and office has also benefited from this initiative as we were able to purchase stationery and toys.”
Since 2006, the Shoprite Community Network has been assisting 12 different community organisations across South Africa every month, ranging from early childhood development centers, soup kitchens and schools.
