We paid the school fees of more than 420 young South Africans as part of our “Shoprite Class of” initiative, in line with our commitment to education in South Africa.

The initiative, launched in 2005, has paid out more than R3.5 million in school fees, giving more than 420 people each year the opportunity to be educated without concerns about affordability.

Each year, learners from grade 1 to 12 submit essays or drawings describing what they want to be when they grow up, giving us the opportunity to support learners who take initiative and dream big.
