JW Basson honoured with coveted award

On 25 October 2011 the country’s top business and government leaders came together at the Sunday Times Business Times annual Top 100 Companies Awards, to recognise those who continue to make a difference to the South African economy. 

At this prestigious event Shoprite Group CEO, Mr Whitey Basson, was honoured with the coveted 2011 Business Leader of the Year Award. This sought-after Award is presented each year to the most important figure in business as selected by the Chief Executive Officers of the Top 100 Companies in South Africa.
