The 30th standalone Petshop Science store in KwaZulu-Natal recently opened for trading at the Hayfields Mall in Pietermaritzburg.

The Shoprite Group became the first local retailer to launch standalone pet shops in April 2021 in response to the country's booming pet economy.

“Our aim is to offer customers everything their four-legged companions could want and need at supermarket prices, and in doing so, we are going to become the biggest pet business in South Africa.”
