Checkers has expanded its exclusive Banting Revolution product range with a variety of guilt-free treats and banting-friendly ‘basics’ such as wraps and pizza bases.
Quick and convenient banting-friendly meals are now a reality thanks to the introduction of delicious pumpkin wraps (suitable for vegans) and pizza bases (made with egg, seeds and coconut). Bread lovers can also rejoice with a cauliflower and mixed pepper bread, nut loaf and seeded rolls on offer.
Further additions to the Banting Revolution include irresistible chocolate brownies (gluten free and with no added sugar), chocolate muffins and chocolate lamingtons as well as snack-sized waffle bites (all carb conscious and high in fibre).
There are now more than 30 products in the Banting Revolution, each containing less than 5g carbohydrate per serving. The varied range includes everything from almond flour and coconut flour (both naturally gluten free) to carb conscious pork sausages (MSG and gluten free), flavoured sparkling waters (sugar- and preservative free) and cauliflower mash (made with real butter and ready in minutes).
With the successful launch of this private label brand late in 2016, Checkers became the first major South African supermarket to develop a banting-friendly range specifically with consumers’ needs in mind.
